First off, why the ridiculous name?  “Bam Bam” (remember Barney’s son on the Flintstones?) is the name I tried to sneak into my byline when I was a managing editor for my high school newspaper.  My friend and editor in chief was vigilant, so it never got in, but it has stuck around.

As I’ve moved through my medical training, I’ve had more and more time to explore my passions again, and photography is one of them.  I would stop short of calling myself and artist, but photoggin’ is my main creative outlet and I do love  it.  I started shooting again (after a long, long hiatus in college, medical school, and residency) in 2007.  All of the images here are from the last year.  I am still learning, always will be, but am in love with the digital revolution and its possibilities.

New York has been an incredible place to pick up this habit again.  I am bittersweet  as I move to Boston, but will be spending time in both places.  I am for hire in either locale or anywhere within striking distance.

As an ER doc, I am kind of a “jack of all trades” and I hope to be the same way photographically.  I would like to expand every facet of my photography.  I’ll try anything, except weddings.  That scares me big time.
