Born in Ottawa, Canada, Andre Beriault first finished there his classical college education. This art education was his early inspiration in the representation of human form and portraiture; one mentor and teacher in these early days, was the acclaimed Dutch painter and artist, Hans Van Der AA. It is this work that started monsieur Beriault’s love affair with portrait and film story telling.
Following studies in Communications & Photography at the Montreal School of fine Arts, he then traveled to England to study History of Art at the King’s College of Cambridge University. For some years, Andre Beriault was occupied professionally in the development of information systems and continued during this time his ongoing education in photography and digital multimedia.
His vast culture, dominated by travels around the world, his professional photography & film career, working with people of all trades, and his love of the human spirit, together have allowed him to produce creative, intelligent and often though provoking works. To keep this creative process evolving, Andre Beriault now has a friendly relation with his mentor, the Russian academician & philosopher, painter & sculptor Gregory Pototsky, whose vision and writings greatly influence the art world across Europe, Asia and the American continent.
Now living in Montreal, Andre Beriault offers his services in photography and cinema to producers, comedians, or to any person wishing to work with this unique and contemporary artist. His photo works have been shown in Quebec City, Montreal, New-York, Chicago and Moscow. He is currently preparing a complete personal exhibition of some 50 life size photos from his Muse project.
