Being a fairly recent convert to photography, and of an impatient nature I really enjoy the immediacy of digital. I favour strong honest images rather than technical perfection and have a preference for black and white for a lot of my work. I utilise Photoshop CS3 but you won't find a lot of post processing as I prefer to preserve the scene as near to perfectly as first seen.

The Isle of Man features heavily in all of my landscapes. I'm lucky that the island is so photogenic with a wide variety of beautiful scenery and am happy to try to show it off.

My children and dogs are the long suffering subjects of a lot of my other photographs but I like to try all sorts of styles.

My other interests include motorcycle sports and listening to music particularly alt-Country, roots and americana. I'm listings editor for www.americana-uk.com and at least once a year I manage to combine my interests by attending and photographing the artists appearing at the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival.
