Photographic Art, as I simply define it, is the combination of photography and digital art.  I always begin with a photograph, and as I capture the image I am already thinking about the many opportunities there are beyond the photograph itself.  At times, I am completely satisfied with the photograph as is and I won't touch it, however I enjoy exploring compositions of multiple photos with digitally painted backgrounds and overlays.  If necessary, I will omit elements that I feel compromise the composition.

Born in Miami, Florida, Dave Hoffman has been designing and creating art for over 25 years.  He received his BFA in Graphic Design at Ringling College of Art and Design in 1990.  As a Photographer/Digital Artist, his eye focuses on bold colors, graphic shapes and compositions inspired by unique architecture and cityscapes.

Dave resides in Orlando, Florida.
